The Brown family entered the the retail automotive industry in 1952 when they built a service station and vehicle repair shop at Thornbury in Melbourne.

In 1962, Browns Motors relocated to the adjoining former Cable Tram building, conducting a panel beating and vehicle towing business.

Today, Browns Motors Pty Ltd comprises two panel beating workshops, employs over 30 people in two sites around Melbourne and is 100% family owned.

The Thornbury business is located in an historic Cable Tram Shed that has been converted to an efficient workshop.

Both businesses are complete with equipment necessary to carry out repairs on today's high-technology motor vehicles. Both workshops employ highly trained staff and up-to-date practices and equipment.
