The Brown family entered the the retail automotive industry in 1952 when they built a service station and vehicle repair shop at Thornbury in Melbourne. In 1962, Browns Motors relocated to the
adjoining former Cable Tram building, conducting a panel beating and vehicle towing business. Today, Browns Motors Pty Ltd comprises two panel beating
workshops employs over 30 people in
two sites in Melbourne and remains 100% family owned. The
Thornbury business is located in an historic Cable Tram Shed that has been converted to an efficient workshop |
